Extra añejo is not the same as añejo
This AÑEJO tequila is excellent. Great smooth flavor with a nice finish. People trying to compare añejo with extra añejo are obviously tequila casuals.

Good (has a tamed bite to it)
I love Adictivo Extra Anejo as well as Chula Extra Anejo. Artenom is not bad, but in a different class from the 2 forementioned tequilas. There are worse choices.

Arte Nom Anejo Review
Such a complex and wonderful Tequila! I will be looking for this one way more often now! The aging process alone is so unique.

Had higher hopes. Still... it has character!
I prefer Extra Anejo. Give me at least 3 years or more. This product had a stronger and longer backbite, the nose of it felt and tasted like most tequilas. While the thickness and depth were better than less expensive products, it still hadn't matured to the point of good integration of the flavors into the product. They tasted like the it just wasn't ready to me. The overall quality was good, but for this price I had a higher expectation. Still I wouldn't hesitate to serve this. I suspect that in a Margarita, it really would be a dynamite solution.
