"To create del Porto , I went to Portugal and purchases barrels from of the finest port wineries and brought it back to Mexico to rest another cache of Vintage 11 year tequila.

As we learned with El Carbonzado , it was extremely important to periodically taste the rested tequila until the desired complexity and smoothness was reached, once again , at no more than 12 months.

At that point,Del Porto was born. The nuance of the vintage port wine barrels gives this tequila a sweet agave taste like no other tequila in the world. There are many trade secrets that are involved with how I do it.

It is a special process that I will go to my grave with."
