Casa Noble is noted for its triple-distilled single-barrel tequilas, which are aged in Taransaud French white-oak barrels personally selected by the brand’s founder, Jose “Pepe” Hermosillo. This award-winning tequila maker has just introduced a 5-year-old extra añejo inspired by the famed guitarist Carlos Santana, who has family roots in Jalisco and who recently joined the company as a board member. Casa Noble Single Barrel Santana Select emits notes of cedar and spice, with a touch of citrus in the finish. Due to evaporation after five years of aging, only enough tequila remained in the single barrel that Santana selected to fill 500 hand-signed and numbered porcelain bottles.
