AN ABSOLUTE MUST FOR BLANCO ENTHUSIASTS
Don't let the extra alcohol deter you (i.e., 42% vs the typical 40%). I'm still on my way to becoming really knowledgeable, but the higher proof blancos just seem to give you more than their standard proof brethren. The nose is very agave forward and also contains earth/minerals, spices/cinnamon, and fruit (can't quite identify). Upon entry, you first get the cooked agave, followed by the other stuff from the nose plus sweetness, and finishes with...mushroom (in a good way). As you let this sit, the flavors open up, but the agave is never lost (very important to me and the key reason I drink blancos). Complex with up-front flavors that will keep you digging and coming back.
