Description
Chawar Blanco Andean Agave Spirit 750ml comes from an ancient tradition in Ecuador where indigenous women harvest the chawarmishki (aguamiel) from the piña. Chawar works with a group of indigenous women who have created Ecuador’s first all women’s agave coop. They naturally ferment the juice and double distill it.

Chawar delights and surprises
If you're looking for a smoky mezcal-style agave spirit, this is not the drink for you. If you like a smooth, soft but complex, delicious blanco tequila then you should definitely give it a try. The story and process by which it is made is worth a visit to their website but you don't have to know anything more than that it is a delightful agave-forward bright yet smooth sipping spirit. I always pick up a surprise bottle for my spouse from Bullock's store in Truth or Consequences, NM (which has a surprisingly good liquor dept!) and our first taste of Chawar made fans of us. We hope you'll order a bottle from Old Town (or ask for it at your local store) and enjoy it as much as we do!

Great Agave spirit different than Tequila
This Agave spirit is very special not being from Mexico, and not produced like Tequila. Its got a crisp flavor with flavorful aroma. Huge fan now.
