Dalwhinnie |
House style: It has a heather flavour similar to Northern Highland malts and a touch of honey similar to Perthshire malts An isolated distillery located by a stretch of the A9 with few signs of human life, Dalwhinnie is Scotland's highest distillery and certainly one of the most remote. It is not quite a Speyside, although its water source the River Truim runs into the Spey. It is classed as a Highland Malt. |
