With Don Julio 70 Añejo Claro, Don Julio Master Distiller Enrique de Colsa is able to get the rich, complex flavors of a traditional añejo in a liquid that is filtered to become a clear spirit. It spends 18 months in reclaimed American oak before being filtered, giving the tequila its unique clarity. In order to return Tequila Don Julio to a clear silver color, the aged liquid is filtered using a special process where electronically magnetized particles are added to the aged liquid. The free radicals in the particles bond to the coloring. After a certain period of time passes, the particles containing the color molecules are filtered out, producing a clear Añejo tequila.

    Purchased several times and always the same great (to me) taste. I learned from a "real" casa style Mexican Restaurant owner to use a 4 1/2 oz. glass with 3 medium sized ice cubes and the glass filled to about an 1/8th inch of the brim and allow Don Julio 70 Añejo Claro Tequila to melt the ice. Perfect for sipping. Again, great taste.

    I'm not an expert by any stretch of anyone's imagination, however I was introduced to Don Julio 70 Anejo Claro Tequila as a true "sipping" Tequila. Very smooth in a glass with one ice cube and 2 ounces. Recommended for anyone looking for a "good" sipping tequila.

    This is my daily drinker. I am a huge fan of the taste of agave. This tequila tastes like a Blanca with the smoothness of an anejo. Great taste and finish. I drink over ice and when I am going to have a”few” this is my go to. Extremely inexpensive for the quality and taste received. Huge fan!
