Estancia Destilado de Pulque 750ml

The only question I have is: How does Estancia come up with them? They have 2 fine raicillas on the market; a marvelous 80 proof Lechuguilla and an equally impressive 90 proof Maximiliana. Both my favorites in the raicilla realm. Now they have come out with another distillate. But do they make a mezcal? No. Is it a tequila? Get real! Estancia concocts a "Desitlado De Pulque" that moves straight up the ladder to my top shelf! Made from the massive Salmiana agave, this drink is crystal clear and has the scent of freshly cut agave, menthol and mint. There is a little yeast lingering there too. Taste gives you a nice, spicy wintergreen flavor that finishes with a hint of licorice.Unusual as hell,.... just like Estancia raicilla! Destilado De Pulque probably makes a terrific cocktail, but all I have been able to bring myself to add to it so far is a copita or shot glass to hold it in. I am almost afraid for Estancia to come up with any other spirit because I will probably lose all decorum and just drink right from the bottle. Their agave spirits are THAT good! My advice? Buy it, try it, then marvel at it. Salud!
