Rested a few weeks in grand cru sauternes wine casks and cognac barrels, Excellia™ Blanco is clear with a faint of gold shade. The nose reveals cloves, tobacco and toast/brioche notes. On the palate, Excellia™ Blanco is complex with a mix of spices, vanilla, fruits and leather aromas. The finish is long on the mid-palate and presents dried spices and faint jasmine notes.

Excellent lesser known blanco
This blanco is from La Alteña which also produces Ocho, El Tesoro, Tapatio tequilas. A collaboration between Carlos Camarena and Jean-Sébastien Robicquet, a French distiller and producer. Aged for a few weeks this blanco has a straw color to it from the resting in the Gran Cru Sauternes barrels. Aroma is of roast agave and fruit/grape notes from the wine barrel resting. This is an interesting spirit as there have not been very many wine-tequila marriages. The other that comes to mind is the Paradiso XA from La Alteña. Try this if you are adventurous and can appreciate aa all natural unsweet product unlike most of the cookie cutter brands in the market today.
